Newcomers' Club of Santa Rosa

Newcomers’ Club is not just for newcomers! It is for all Sonoma County residents wanting to meet other like-minded residents to socialize, have fun and explore numerous activities.
Special Interest Groups include bridge, mahjong, book clubs, movies, dining out, visiting wineries, bocce ball and more!

Join us at our monthly luncheon (2nd Tuesday) to enjoy our current program. Reservation information & menu selections are available on the Luncheon Meetings page.

The speaker for March is Ron Powers, a retired civil engineer who volunteers at Luther Burbank Home and Gardens for the past seven seasons.  He is not only a volunteer docent, he is on the Board of Directors and Chair of the Capital Improvement Projects committee.

The Luther Burbank Home and Gardens is a unique urban garden and city park located at the corner of Santa Rosa and Sonoma Avenues in Santa Rosa. It contains the former home, greenhouse, gardens and even the grave of world-renowned American horticulturist Luther Burbank who experimented with plants for most of his 50-year career.

So come and learn about the history and a few of Ron’s famous introductions to the plant world.

As always, guests are welcome.
